Don’t be put off by the building – or by the odd proprietor, Tibbs. They’ve been heard to croak “merch, merch, merch” in a tone that resonates throughout Main Street.

Welcome to Violet Bellflower’s Spiritual Salon, where the tea is always piping hot and the veil to the other side is gossamer thin. Here, you’ll find all manner of items for both the novice mystic and the experienced witch. Tinctures and balms, intoxicatingly scented candles, cleaning potions, and other dark arts accoutrements line the shelves. Come in, peruse the goods, and have your fortune read.

In the past, gatekeepers of knowledge jealously guarded their reading rooms and studies, offering membership only to those deemed worthy. On Spinsters Row, we welcome all with open minds and generosity of spirit. Sir Kadin opens the door to anyone – whether human, feline, cryptid, or other – with a lively mind and a love of learning. Books, moving pictures, radio programs… all educational media and means of entertainment are welcomed here.

This fine emporium is run by two gentlemen who transformed a derelict building into a gleaming department store. The proprietors are experts in helping you find the most attractive togs and shiny trinkets to complete your ensemble. From multi-colored jewels to leather satchels – the accessories you seek can be found within these polished wood walls. Come in with your magpie tendencies and step out in style.

Step through the Emerald Door and you’ll be greeted by the mingling scents of fresh parchment, wool, wet paint, and the lingering fragrance left by a shoppe keeper who just slipped out the back door. Don’t bother waiting to be rung up – just select your supplies and leave the correct banknotes on the counter. Sometimes, if you wander Spinsters Row late at night, you’ll see the shadow of someone moving about inside, restocking the shelves…. but there will be no one to answer the door when you knock.

Curiosities and obscure delights abound in this dusty shop featuring antiquarian goods and bric-à-brac that may or may not be considered sacrilegious. Thin, tall, and strange, the erudite Mr. Oliver is always available to answer questions of science and history. None have seen his supposed colleague, Sir Ike, though the scent of bacon and the faint sound of snoring often floats through the shop without explanation.
